Clip Keeper — Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 5, 2026
One-paragraph summary: Clip Keeper has no accounts and no servers of its own. What you save stays in your device's photo library. Data leaves your device in four cases only: (1) page requests to the platform whose public link you pasted, (2) advertising data handled by Google AdMob — the only ads SDK in the app, (3) crash reports sent to Firebase Crashlytics, and (4) anonymous usage statistics sent to Google Analytics for Firebase. We use (3) and (4) only to fix and improve the app; they never include the links you paste or what you save.
1. Data we collect
Only crash reports and anonymous usage statistics (sections 5 and 6). No accounts, no password fields. We operate no servers, and your links, link history and saved content are never sent to us.
2. Data that stays on your device
- Saved videos, photos and audio — in your system photo library.
- A local catalog of saved items (title, size, platform, date).
- Your settings.
3. Network connections the app makes
- To the platform you pasted a link from (TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Threads) — to read the public page and download media, straight from your device, like a browser.
- Google AdMob (section 4).
- Firebase Crashlytics (section 5).
- Google Analytics for Firebase (section 6).
4. Advertising — Google AdMob
Clip Keeper shows ads via Google AdMob. Google's SDK collects and shares with Google: your device's Advertising ID and App set ID, your IP address (which Google uses to estimate your device's approximate location), your interactions with the app and its ads, and diagnostic information such as launch time, hangs and energy use. This data is used for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention, and is encrypted in transit. Details: How Google uses ads data · AdMob policies. You can reset or delete your Advertising ID in your device's Google settings. Where required (EEA/UK…), a Google UMP consent dialog is shown before ads.
5. Crash reports — Firebase Crashlytics
If the app crashes, Firebase Crashlytics (a Google service) sends us a crash report: the technical error and the app's state at that moment, your device model, operating system and app version, and installation identifiers (a Crashlytics installation ID and a Firebase installation ID). It also records when the app is opened (sessions), so we can see what share of users run each version without crashes. We use this only to find and fix crashes — not for ads, and not to build a profile of you.
We don't attach your links, history or saved content to crash reports. A report does contain the technical error, which in rare cases can include a web address involved in that error. Reports are encrypted in transit, and Crashlytics keeps crash data and the identifiers attached to it for 90 days. Crash reporting is always on in released versions of the app. Details: Firebase privacy and security.
6. Usage statistics — Google Analytics for Firebase
To understand how the app is used and where it fails, Google Analytics for Firebase (a Google service) receives: an app-instance ID (an identifier for this installation of the app), your approximate location (country or region, which Google derives from your masked IP address), your device model, operating system and app version, and when the app is opened and which screens are used. The app also sends three events of its own: which tab you open (Home, My files, Settings); whether reading a link worked and, if it did not, which kind of problem it was, together with the platform name only (for example "facebook"); and when a file finishes saving (platform plus video, photo or audio).
These statistics never include the links you paste, post titles or captions, or what you save. The app does not collect your Advertising ID for analytics, sets no user ID, and Google signals are off. In the EEA, the UK and other regions where consent is required, usage statistics are only collected if you agree in the consent dialog; elsewhere they are on in released versions of the app. Data is kept for the retention period set in our Google Analytics settings. Details: How Google uses information from apps that use its services.

- Google Analytics for Firebase (xem mục 6).
6. Thống kê sử dụng — Google Analytics for Firebase
